‘Ray Donovan’ season 3 spoilers: ‘ER’ veteran to help dig up the past
While “Ray Donovan” touched on quite a few threads in its second season that paid off from the end of the first, it seems as though the show may have deliberately held back on a few things. How else do you explain away the latest scoop that we have for you right now?
According to a brand-new report coming in right now from TVLine, Leland Orser of “ER” fame is going to be playing a major recurring role on the Showtime drama. In terms of specifics, he is going to be Father Romero, a cleric who is doing his best to try to solve the homicide of the priest that was killed off (by Ray, mind you) during the second-to-last episode of the first season. There has not been a whole lot made of what happened here just yet, but you have to imagine this changing (and soon) at some point in the relatively near future.
The third season of “Ray Donovan” is going to be filming the majority of the early part of this year, and it will have an opportunity to finally air on Showtime this summer. At this point, we would assume that one of the biggest challenges would be trying to ensure that you can keep this formula fresh. It has been on the air for long enough now that you know what to expect. Also, things have been plenty crazy already, and there is pressure in terms of how you top that.
We will have some further news on the show as it comes out, so stay tuned!
