‘Ray Donovan’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Deadwood’ alum signs up

It has been a long time since we’ve had a whole lot of news to share when it comes to the third season of “Ray Donovan,” and for good reason. After all, the show wrapped airing season 2 in the summer, and it is only now that some of the latest casting news is starting to come out.

According to a new report coming in from TVLine, we had a ‘Deadwood” reunion of sorts coming up! Ian McShane is going to be appearing in a major role on the series moving forward, though how much time he will spend with his former co-star Paula Malcomson remains to be seen. He will play one of the most noteworthy clients of Ray (Liev Schreiber) so far. His name is Malcolm Finney, and he is an extremely prominent movie producer who hires Ray in order to get out of an incredibly horrible situation. He also happens to be a billionaire.

In the end, this seems like it will be an interesting role for McShane, who has certainly done a variety of incredible work in the past. The more great actors “Ray Donovan” casts, the better off that the series is going to be.

While there is no exact premiere date known for the show just yet, Showtime will be almost surely bringing the series back in the summer. We’ll have some further news on it as it starts to come out.
