Is ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ episode 11 new tonight on FX?

Freak Show -Christmas Eve is not exactly the time for new programming to come on the air. Therefore, we have some somewhat-horrible news for all of those hoping that there would be a new installment of “American Horror Story: Freak Show” coming on FX tonight: It’s not going to be happening.

Rather than run the risk of the series not getting much in the way of ratings, due in part to more people thinking about Santa Claus than Dandy Mott, the network is not going to stick the Ryan Murphy series on the air. This is still a show that does rely heavily on 18-49 viewership, and also money that comes in from advertisers. Strictly having a number of people watching via DVR machines alone is not going to cut it.

Luckily, there is at least a pretty easy way to remember when this particular show is coming back on the air. There is no new episode on Christmas Eve, and then, no new episode on New Year’s Eve. After that, the show is back on the air with new episodes! You can expect to see more of the series once again starting on Wednesday, January 7, when the show is going to air again at its 10:00 p.m. Eastern timeslot.

As for some of what you can expect to see when the series returns, one of the biggest things is Neil Patrick Harris! The former “How I Met Your Mother” star will be a very unique sort of salesman on the show, and one that could have some distinct shades of darkness that make themselves clear over time.
