‘Bates Motel’ season 3 video: Norman watches Tracy Spiridakos in teaser

Now that we are getting a little closer to the spring, fans of “Bates Motel” have something to look forward to more than ever before: A new season is on the horizon!

With this in mind, the new teaser below (via IGN) gives you a little bit of a sense at what the writers and producers have coming your way … and it is proof that Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) is further continuing his descent into darkness. Basically, this promo features Norman watching a guest at the hotel (“Revolution” alum Tracy Spiridakos) get undressed, and that is really it. Still, that should be creepy enough for many of you, given that we know very well already just how disturbing this guy can really be.

The issue that Norman is starting to run into now is that he clearly knows that he is unsafe, and also what happened to Miss Watson. It all comes down to whether or not he embraces the insanity, hides from it, or is somewhere in between. For Norma, much of her own struggle will revolve around whether or not she can wake up and finally smell the coffee here that her son is bad news.

Regardless of what happens, you can probably count on the show continuing to be great. We feel like for one reason or another, the series ended up getting overshadowed much more than it should have during awards season this year.
