NBC’s ‘The Voice’ finale spoilers: Matt McAndrew, Chris Jamison, Craig Wayne Boyd, Damien choices

The Voice -

The Top 4 are coming on “The Voice” tonight to give it everything that they’ve got, since they clearly know what is at stake here at the end: A chance to win the entire competition, and have a slightly better chance at a music career. (Let’s be real; most contestants on this show fail to make it big.)

We can tell you now all of the songs that will be performed during Monday night’s episode. Given that some of these are potential winner’s singles, not all of them are going to be familiar. Update: Click here to read our review of tonight’s episode.

Chris Jamison

Justin Timberlake, “Cry Me a River” – Chris’ goal here should be trying to cap into all of that Timberlake nostalgia with this song. It’s a powerful song, but it may not be enough of a hook to get people buying it instantly.

Robin Thicke, “Lost Without U” (with Adam Levine) – It’s in that Chris vein of being a hot, steamy song, but it’s a risk. It may alienate some of the audience with the lyrics, but it is perfect for him and Chris to perform together.

“Velvet” – We couldn’t preview the song on iTunes. This could be the winners’ single from him.

Craig Wayne Boyd

Alabama, “In Pictures” – A very emotional song about fatherhood. Basically, a great appeal to the country / sentimental voting base. He and Blake Shelton are very smart with these song choices.

Randy Houser, “Boots On” (with Blake Shelton) – We’re torn on this one. The studio version is nothing special, and many of Blake’s collaborations for the show never end up being anything that amazing.

“My Baby’s Got a Smile on Her Face” – Generic country-rock, but it sounds like a winner’s single, and who knows? Maybe it could do well on the radio.

Damien

Donny Hathaway, “A Song For You” – We’ve never understood why this song is so beloved by singing-show contestants. It does not have that much of a melody, and never sells that well unless you nail every note.

Elton John, “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” (with Adam Levine) – A classic song. Probably the right choice, but we don’t know why this song makes sense as a duet.

“Soldier” – May be the winner’s single, but like with Chris, we couldn’t preview it on iTunes.

Matt McAndrew

Wizard of Oz, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” – We were expecting that classic acoustic arrangement we’ve heard a lot lately. Still, the studio version is actually a little more classic and whimsical. Lovely.

Maroon 5, “Lost Stars” (with Adam Levine) – Hey, how fitting! It’s a Maroon 5 song! It actually does sound good for Matt.

“Wasted Love” – The possible winner’s single. We cannot find the lyrics for it online, but it seems to be a pretty interesting tune.
