‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 spoilers: Filming wraps for HBO series
For all of those who love “Game of Thrones,” we come right now bearing some good news: Season 5 seems to be officially in the books!
In a post on Twitter (uncovered via Winter Is Coming), actress Kerry Ingram confirmed that the season has been wrapped in Northern Ireland. This is the last part of the world to be done, as filming has also taken place in Croatia, Spain, and even at least some background shots in Iceland. This show is one of the most expansive productions out there, as it takes on a variety of different challenges geographically, in addition to all of the tricky things it attempts to pull of when it comes to the story.
The fifth season of “Game of Thrones” still does not have a premiere date, and probably will not for at least a few more weeks. Given that we are not going to be seeing anything too substantial for the show until most likely late March or early April, the network may not be putting a whole lot of pressure on themselves to make a big announcement until that point. That is also when the first teaser trailer for the show should be revealed.
The only thing that we can say for sure is that the network has thrown many an egg into this basket. “Game of Thrones” remains the network’s most-popular show, and has already been coined their biggest success story ever after looking at a combination of different factors.
