‘The X Factor’ final results: Did Fleur East, Ben Haenow win? Sam Smith, One Direction perform

It has been a long season of “The X Factor” UK, and at times also a fun one. We’re not going to sit here and say that we loved all of the season, since we don’t feel like many on this show have genuine pop star potential.

With that being said, Fleur East does at least have an outside shot at pop stardom if she can get the right writers and producers around her, and due to that, and her originality, she was our personal pick to win the show.

With that being said, we still thought that Ben Haenow. He is the sort of contestant that tends to win the competition: A male singer with a good voice, a good story, and a look that makes the female voters go nuts. His best chance of fame is to find a band after the show, form them, and really get to the grindstone rather than worrying about anything else.

Before we get to the results, how wonderful was Sam Smith? We have heard the man perform many times now, and yet, it still gets us just about every time that we hear him. One Direction also got a unique chance to perform alongside Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones.

Now the results … Ben is the winner! He gets a chance to make a big record, but we would not be too sad for Fleur right now. She is going to have an opportunity to still have the career she dreamed of.
