‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2, episode 10 review: We’re only inhuman
Tonight’s “Agents of SHIELD” winter finale was entitled “What They Become,” and after watching the episode in full, we can definitely say that this had a certain … inhuman effect to it.
Do we now know officially what is going on with Skye? It certainly seems like it, and it may be a great foundation to what Marvel wants to do with inhumans moving into some of the latter parts of Phase 3. This reveal, complete with cocoon and other various cool stuff, was everything that we hoped that it would be.
However, at the same time we also saw something else happen: Tragedy for a character. We seemingly lost Trip. We’ll have to wait until March (!) to figure out what happens here.
We know that there were some other events that took place throughout the hour, from the end of Whitehall to some really awesome special effects … but we’re still enamored by the end of this episode, since this could eventually have huge ramifications across the entire MCU. We had met the Kree before tonight, but the Inhumans are a very interesting group that could be explored on the show for some time.
Here is the real question moving forward: How much do you explore their origins, given that there is a movie coming up? Is this something that we’ll get occasional answers about, or will the show be more willing to share information? Hopefully, we will have some answers to this over time.
We’re going to have a further preview soon; stay tuned!
