ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 winter finale spoilers: Nathan Fillion’s Rick becomes ‘honorary mobster’
With that being said, we’re not sure that all of it when it comes to Nathan Fillion’s character is going to be something that Beckett is particularly fond of. According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Rick somehow is going to find himself in the middle of a “mob war” during the episode, and at one point, he will even be proclaimed an “honorary mobster.”
Of course, the question that could be very easy to skirt over right now is this: What in the world is Castle doing around the mob anyway? It is definitely unusual for a mystery novelist to have any sort of connections to organized crime, so there should be some concerns over this storyline before it even airs.
If nothing else, we get the sense that it will be worth it, and there will be finally some further (and very welcome) information that gets us closer to resolving the mystery that has hovered over the show since that frustrating cliffhanger at the end of last season.
We’ll have more on this episode tomorrow, so be on the lookout!

Agree with your feelings and concerns. It is now in the realm of possible belief that affiliation with the mob is behind Castle’s memory loss. Also of concern (to me at least) is that there are too many questions and burdens being put on the Caskett wedding and relationship. Hopefully the assurance early in the season that everything that happens this season will, in the long run, make the relationship stronger. You would think that by the end of February we would pretty well know what is going on although the final answer may not even come this season. ( Supposedly with Castle’s memory loss being covered to some extent in the December 2014 and January 2015 cliffhanger and again in the two episodes in mid February if we don’t know quite a bit by then or at least having some pretty good idea they might as well drop it as a back story. Too little information over too much of a time span with little or no progress.)
