‘Criminal Minds’ season 10 spoilers: More news on Gideon flashback episode
As you may have heard recently, “Girl Meets World” / “Boy Meets World” star Ben Savage is going to be coming aboard “Criminal Minds” for a season 10 episode that takes you into the past. Specifically, he is going to be a young version of Gideon, who was played on the early versions of the show by Mandy Patinkin.
How will this case work? Basically, it is a chance for Rossi in the present to try and resolve a case that he and Gideon tried to get a handle on so many years ago, but were unable to due to the limited resources at the BAU at the time. To hear a little bit more on this, just check out what showrunner Erica Messer had to say in a new interview with TV Guide:
“They thought they had figured it out and were gonna catch the guy … But he went off-pattern, and they have to [move on], so it haunts them in present day.”
This is for now one of the episodes of “Criminal Minds” that we are the most looking forward to, and largely because there aren’t many opportunities that we have to see Gideon in any form. Given “Homeland” and some of the comments that he made about the CBS show’s tone and structure after his exit, we have a hard time imagining Patinkin ever coming back.
Hopefully, though, there could be some chances to see a little bit more of Savage in a role that still gives us a taste of this character, even if it is only here and there.

What gave Erica Messer the wild idea that the fans even want to see Gideon, in any way, shape, or form ever again? There are many of us around that would not be disappointed if CM never mentioned that man’s name again.
Two more thing:
One: PLEASE buy Reid a comb and a brush
Two: When is MGG going to be directing an episode?
