‘Bates Motel’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Revolution’ star Tracy Spiridakos to check in
Less than a year after the end of the ambitious but short-lived “Revolution” on NBC, Tracy Spiridakos has found herself another new role … albeit a much creepier one.
Sources confirm that the actress, whose credits also include “Supernatural,” will be appearing on the third season of A&E’s “Bates Motel.” While scoop on her role is reasonably unclear, we know that she will make her presence felt at the motel mentioned in the title. Could interaction with Norman Bates be not that far behind?
Ultimately, this is really the best thing that could have happened for Spiridakos after the end of “Revolution.” Her character of Charlie was frequently derided and attributed as one of the weaker parts of the show, and this is a chance for her to really prove herself as a performer with some quality material. While we have our beef with A&E right now over the end of “Longmire,” we won’t allow that to take away from the greatness of this show and what the writers and producers have done each of the first two seasons.
This is just one of many new castings for the third season, with many more to come. We’ve already reported that former “Sons of Anarchy” star Ryan Hurst has an arc of his own coming up in season 3, where he will ironically have a story that ties into the motorcycle world.
While there is no premiere date announced just yet for “Bates Motel” season 3, our guess is that you’ll see Freddie Highmore, Vera Farmiga, and the rest of the cast again in the spring. There is no real reason to change things up now.
