‘Chicago Fire’ season 3: See Jesse Spencer, Taylor Kinney, more in case photo

Typically, networks choose to release some of their promotional cast photos prior to the start of their season, but for understandable reasons, the crew over at “Chicago Fire” decided to wait on their release for a little while longer.

Why is this wait so understandable? The reasons for that start of course with the death of Leslie Shay. If NBC had released a cast photo that did not prominently feature Lauren German, it would be more than a little clear about her character dying in the premiere … and this was meant to be an enormous surprise for all who watched.

Other than that, we like this photo for the most part, even if there are some cheesy elements to it. For example, why are they all standing so still with the smoke in the background? Are they all standing on a wet stage somewhere in a theater? While do all of them look so badass in the poses? So many questions, and so little time.

Nonetheless, we do love “Chicago Fire,” and this photo does once again highlight the key players, whether it be Casey (Jesse Spencer), Severide (Taylor Kinney), of some of the others. Above all, the big news to remember here is that even though the story has been intense so far, the majority of the good stuff is still coming on the show moving forward.
