‘The Good Wife’ season 6, episode 4 preview: Alicia’s State’s Attorney debate may be decided
We knew that sooner or later, Alicia Florrick was going to need to make a huge decision on “The Good Wife” in regards to whether or not she was going to run for State’s Attorney. What we did not expect in the process was that the decision was going to be made for her.
As the sneak peek at the bottom of this article carefully shows, there’s apparently a nifty little website for Julianna Margulies’ character online, with the problem for this being simply that Alicia had no knowledge of it beforehand. Clearly, either Eli or some of his other bigwig campaign people he’s gotten in contact with have decided to start up a site asking for donations, almost as though they assumed that she was just going to be starting up the campaign.
Now, let us be campaign manager ourselves here when it comes to this poster.
- Does she not have a last name? It’s interesting that while “Florrick” is written many times on the page, the instances where the font is bigger are just where it says “Alicia,” almost like she is the Madonna of politics. Clearly, someone also doesn’t want to associate her too much with the Governor.
- Also, slightly questionable to have a campaign website without a video these days. We’d be a little sketchy of this without something verified coming in from Alicia herself.
Given that there is already $80,000 in campaign money raised, which is quite a bit for a State’s Attorney campaign, she’s stuck between a rock and a hard place. Also, some of the casting news out there already suggests that this is probably going to happen.
With this deluge of information in mind, shouldn’t we just sit back and enjoy the ride right now? It doesn’t really sound like we have many other choices.
