‘Saturday Night Live’ preview: Bill Hader, Cecily Strong joke with Hozier

While Hozier may be a lesser-known quantity right now to most in the mainstream, he is one of those stars in the music world that you are probably going to get to know a little bit better over the months ahead. This seems to be at least what “Saturday Night Live” is planning on at the moment.

We’ve seen from the show a few times now that they have the ability to be at the front of the next big thing, and in the promo below, we give Hozier credit for going along with some silliness with Bill Hader and Cecily Strong. There’s even a joke in here about his name, and also an extremely awkward hug at one point, where he shows off a little bit of comic timing to go along with it.

With all of this being said, we cannot really sit here and say that we anticipate Hozier doing a whole lot of sketches tonight. Like most other musicians who have appeared on the show, we expect him to do just the performances. Then again, Hader probably has the entire show covered. He is one of the most-popular cast members from the past few years, and there is zero reason to think that he will come on the show and do anything other than kill it. While we’re not 100% sold on a Stefon return, we anticipate at least a few familiar faces turning up before the program comes to a close.
