‘The Newsroom’ season 3: See Jeff Daniels’ Will (or at least part of him) in new poster
It may have taken a little while, but HBO has finally started to unleash their massive publicity campaign for the third and final season of “The Newsroom.”
If you look below at the official poster (first uploaded by TVLine), there is one thing that seems to be more than abundantly clear: HBO really wants to make it known that there is going to be no last-second season 4 renewal. These six episodes have been written to be the end of the ACN crew’s story, and it will be a whole lot of fun watching to see how the event ahead play out.
What we also wonder is whether or not the story will be perceived any differently, regardless of if we are talking about the media or the fans of the show, by the fact that this is the final season. We would argue that by and large, this is one of the most unfairly-bashed shows out there. It really does not do a whole that we would consider awful, and yet it often is treated like it.
Story-wise, all we know is that the ACN staff will be challenged once again, and this time by the government after there are many moves made to try to obtain a source. Meanwhile, there are also still all of the little relationship stories as a staff. Sloan and Don are going to finally be in some sort of relationship, while we have to wait and see whether or not Will and Mackenzie have kept their engagement up … or if they are already married.
