‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ review: Was there a Jacqueline Laurita – Teresa Giudice reunion at all?

Real Housewives of New Jersey -Going into Sunday night’s “Real Housewives of New Jersey” episode, we were more than a little excited to see what was going to happen with Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita. The two have not exactly been close as of late, but given recent events, Jacqueline took it upon herself to try to start back up that friendship.

Was this met with smiles and open arms? Unfortunately, we would not go that far. Instead, it was more met with mixed emotions, since it doesn’t really seem like Teresa is in a position to either care about friendships, or she’s just not ready to move forward with Jacqueline.

Either way, we almost feel like this show spent a whole lot of time trying to hype up a story that was not really even here at the end of the day. Instead, the only real communication they had was via text message, and Jacqueline spent most of her time with Kathy Wakile, who really is not on the show still, either. It feels almost like Bravo really did not want to move on from the housewives of the past few seasons tonight, and maybe it’s because what is up with the other ladies in Florida really was not that interesting at all.

Ultimately, we feel like “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” is still at its best when there are funny and serious things happening, and while we feel like the Jacqueline stuff was a little of a tease, this still had what we were hoping for. Melissa and Joe Gorga in particular had some great moments, and that helped to make up for the awkwardness of watching Teresa potentially move into a smaller home. Grade: B-.
