TNT’s ‘Dallas’ season 3 finale spoilers: Who could die?
Regardless of whether or not you watched the original “Dallas” series, next week’s two-hour episode should make you feel a little bit nostalgic, and possibly a little sad. If we were to bet, we would say that this will probably be the end of the road for the franchise. The ratings haven’t been great, and while there may still be some classic storylines playing out, hopefully the writers got enough of an indication to tie things up going into this.
Technically, you are getting two episodes for the price of one in 3×14 (“Endgame”) and the finale (“Brave New World”), and in addition to the promo video below, the synopses should prove you with a nice opportunity to see what lies ahead.
“Endgame” – “While Christopher races to find Elena, Bobby is double-crossed by the cartel. No longer able to sit by, John Ross puts his own life on the line to attempt a rescue. Meanwhile, Nicolas tries to prove himself to Elena by making a deal with the authorities that puts him on a collision course with John Ross’ plan and places both their lives in jeopardy.”
“Brave New World” – “In the electrifying third season finale, the Ewings and the Rylands finally force the cartel to pay the piper as some lives are saved and others are lost. Bobby and Sue Ellen form a new alliance to protect the family, which pits them against John Ross, who is still trying to regain control of Ewing Global and fix his marriage to Pamela. Snd Elena is pushed to the brink when she finds out the real depths of Nicolas’ betrayal. As the season comes to an end, enemies are unmasked, new alliances are formed, and John Ross learns a shocking secret about J.R. that sends him halfway around the globe in search of a surprising new cohort.”
If there is any silver lining for diehard fans to come out of the promo below, it is that TNT is advertising it as a season and not a series finale, and maybe there is still some reason to be hopeful that we’re not aware of. Regardless of the ratings, the story here will eventually lead to one member of the Ewing family dying. Who doesn’t love a shocker?

The series has done well without JR. I really do hope TNT renew the series.
Even though the ratings are low, they are stable, averaging 0.4 for most of the season and 1.9 million viewers. There is so much reality crap on TV today that scripted shows are suffering and being canceled.

Epic season. Didn’t think it could survive without JR, but it has been incredibly good. I tend to lose concentration or play on my hanheld when I watch stuff, but I don’t think I blink when Dallas is on!!!

I agree! Dallas & NCIS are the only shows we won’t miss on TV! The writing and acting are terrific. Fast moving and always intense plot. Never a dull moment. Please keep the show going!

I don’t know that I’m convinced that it won’t be renewed. Cidre was interviewed a few weeks ago and was divulging where the show is headed for Season 4. That sound like a cancellation to you? I imagine Cidre has met with the powers that be at TNT – in fact, all of the cast have hinted that Season 4 will be a go. Look at more than just the live numbers CarterMatt.

The thought of us not having another season makes me really sad. I look forward to every episode because you just don’t know what’s going to happen. The hour just flies by. Hate to see another great show get cancelled.

I’m with you! Seriously, there is so much crap on tv & Dallas is just a total blast to watch! The drug cartel storyline has been weak, however Pamela, John Ross & Judith Light are reason enough to keep this show on for season 4. Love them
And yes, the hour flies by while watching this fast paced and fun show.
Keep it going TNT please!
