‘Faking It’ season 2 spoilers: Take a look at Amy, Karma’s future in new trailer
Was “Faking It” one of the biggest surprises of the past year? We’d certainly say so, given that the premise itself (two high schoolers who decide to pretend to be in a lesbian relationship to gain popularity) was something that could have come across as somewhat crass.
However, the show managed to pull it off, though having one of the two students in Amy start to actually buy into the relationship may be part of the reason for that. It’s a natural compliment to “Awkward” on the MTV schedule, and there are more new episodes starting up come September 23 at 10:30 p.m. Eastern.
So want to get some more details on what you can expect? The video below serves as a perfect way to both catch up, and to also move forward. Amy is going to further question her feelings, and there will be plenty of romances, secrets, drama, and of course reasons to laugh. You do have to remember at some point in here that this show is actually a comedy.
We also feel right now like this genre is almost ripe for the picking, given that the majority of network comedies are all playing it extremely safe with generic family shows, or workplace comedies trying to just capitalize on the latest trends. The closest thing that we’d say was a “hit comedy” for a major TV network was “2 Broke Girls,” and that was several years ago and the show has since tapered off. There’s hope for “The Goldbergs,” but its ratings are not exactly out of this world for ABC.
