‘Bachelor in Paradise’ review: Jesse Kovacks, Lucy Aragon, and Christy Hansen conflicts

After such a crazy episode last night, the second installment of “Bachelor in Paradise” was a little more even-keeled … for the most part.

First, let’s start with the sad part of this. We lost Marquel Martin, and there were so many couples on the show that most of the newcomers had around zero chance … except for maybe Lucy, who came out and let everything hang out in about five seconds. Of course, Jesse Kovacs was all over this. Remember, Jackie Parr got rid of Marquel over this guy. Jesse has already got close with Lucy, Christy Hansen, and Jackie … which is no good for these ladies. Christy felt “humiliated” by this, and decided that she didn’t want to go through this embarrassment again. Well Christy, you’re going through that embarrassment watching this episode!

Basically, Jesse got a little close with both Lucy and Christy within the span of one episode, and after Clare Crawley left earlier in the episode “brokenhearted” (taking some cues from Chris Harrison here), the only real drama came when it comes to this guy. He is such a … ugh. That’s all we will say. Lucy’s not much better, since she totally lied to further herself in the game. We also blame the set-up for this happening in the first place.

In the end, Jesse chose Christy over Lucy … even with the drama and with Lucy taking off all of her clothes. Surprising? We’ll talk about that in the podcast tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Marcus Grodd admitted that he was in love with Lacy Faddoul, AshLee Frazier and Graham Bunn had another awkward date, and Michelle Money and Cody Sattler proved that they have the cutest relationship on the whole show. Grade: C+ for lack of craziness.
