TNT’s ‘Dallas’ season 3: Who just booked ‘2 Broke Girls’ guest spot?
Ready to find out who the latest “2 Broke Girls” guest star is? Well, they’re going to be coming to Brooklyn by way of Southfork Ranch.
According to TVLine, Jesse Metcalfe of “Dallas” fame has been booked for an early season 4 episode of the hit sitcom, and will be playing a role tied to Kat Dennings’ role of Max. Specifically, he is a guy that she calls on for extremely casual sex. She doesn’t even know his name, and with that in mind, she probably knows next to nothing else about him at the same time.
For Metcalfe, this is yet another gig to put on his resume, and the reality right now is that many “Dallas” actors better be looking for some other gigs for work right now. The show’s ratings have declined really ever since the J.R. Ewing tribute episode, and especially this season based on the figures for last week’s summer premiere. We suppose it is possible in theory that it will be renewed, but it’s doubtful given the ratings success of other shows on the schedule like “Legends” and “The Last Ship.”
As for “2 Broke Girls,” this is one of those shows that has been a very solid contributor, but it could always end up being so much more successful than it is. We feel like its biggest selling point for CBS could come at this point next year, which is when the show will finally get into syndication. This is what really caused “The Big Bang Theory” to skyrocket into one of the biggest things on TV, and we would not be shocked if something remotely similar happened in this case.

“Dallas” is a really good show and the second half of Season 3 gets better with every episode. The Sept. 1 episode was one of the best yet. TNT should renew the show and push it a little bit … give it another year or so. GREAT SHOW!!
