‘Reign’ season 2 spoilers; Toby Regbo on Francis, Mary’s journey

While October 2 may still be a while away, it’s never too early to start looking forward to the season 2 premiere of “Reign” … right? We certainly feel that way, which is why we have the attached video below featuring star Toby Regbo.

While production is still too much in the early going for there to be any substantial scoop on what is coming up story-wise, we do at least have a few general pieces of information via Regbo below. Specifically, he starts off by explaining where Mary and Francis were at the start of the series, which is a significant departure from where the two are now. They made significant process towards being the right sort of rulers by the end of the first season, and that has us where the two are today.

Of course, the story is not anywhere near over for the time being. For one, the new season is going to expand the world outward more than anything we’ve seen just yet, and Mary and Francis are not going to be alone in combating many of the threats that lie ahead. The most prominent one, at least to us, is the beast otherwise known as the plague. This is a grave danger that could mean death for almost everyone we know, and it’s the sort of evil that cannot be contained or fully stopped. Remember the time period here!

Ultimately, “Reign” season 2 should bring you everything you want and then some … including more mature versions of the main characters.
