‘True Blood’ season 7 spoilers: Kristin Bauer van Straten on Alexander Skarsgard farewell

It’s never easy to be leaving a place you spent much of your time for seven years, especially when that place is somewhere you really loved.

Kristin Bauer van Straten is one of many who saw her life change thanks to “True Blood,” and thanks to that, she is having to right now feel the emotional ramifications of it ending. The series finale has been filmed, and the only thing left are these promotional appearances like Comic-Con. Kristin was there on Saturday, and she in particular told TVLine that saying goodbye to Alexander Skarsgard was one of the most difficult things that she has ever done:

“My final scene with Alex, I was toast. I said to him ‘look, let’s just say I’ll see you tomorrow,’ because I’ll be a mess. I tried and it was like ‘see you tomorrow’ with tears running down my face and I ran to the car.”

It’s not a huge surprise to hear that saying goodbye to Alex was the toughest part for her. These two spent most of their time together as Pam and Eric over the run, and developed a close friendship as a result. She said in a recent AMA that it will be very strange not being able to see him for many months, as he is off working in Europe on a new project. (That’s why he is one of the few actors not in San Diego this weekend among the cast.)
