‘The Bridge’ season 2, episode 3 preview: ‘Sorrowsworn,’ and Diane Kruger’s next move
While we have felt like “The Bridge” has not really connected many of its dots so far during the second season so far, what we will praise it for right now is doing a great job of creating an overall feeling of drama and intrigue.
Hopefully, those feelings will carry over t the episode next week (entitled “Sorrowsworn”), but also bring with it a sense of some actually answers. Plus, you’ll see a little bit more of Linder, and the quest for Sonya and Marco to track down are compelling villain in Eleanor will start to come together. Take a look at the synopsis below:
“Sonya & Marco make an unsettling discovery as they continue to track Eleanor. Charlotte’s business takes a hit. Eva & Linder are reunited. Written by Dario Scardapane; directed by Stefan Schwartz.”
The more that we see of Eleanor, the more that we feel like she has the potential to be downright one of the best Big Bads of the year, and we almost don’t care if we fully understand her motivations or now. To us, John Lithgow as the Trinity Killer is still what we consider to be the gold standard for all villains in this sort of season-long villain role; while we don’t know if she will last that long, we certainly want her to stick around. She’s terrible, she’s creepy, and it serves as a good reason to put Marco and Sonya in the same world. That’s not always an easy thing to do, given their jurisdiction.
