‘Ray Donovan’ season 2, episode 2 preview: Mickey on parole and more
Did you love the “Ray Donovan” premiere? Well, things are about to get so much more complicated on the show, especially when it comes to the Sully Sullivan shooter.
So far this season (which is, granted, only one episode), one of the few people that Ray has really had to worry about when it comes to this is Ed Cochran at the FBI, who seems mostly just interested in putting on a good face and proclaiming that the entire issue at hand is over. Things are going to change with the arrival of Vanessa Shaw to the series as a very powerful reporter in search of answers. Anyone wanting answers in this world cannot be a good thing for Ray, and this is therefore something that he’s going to have to deal with.
If you want some specifics about how Shaw’s Kate will make her mark even prior to arriving to Los Angeles, just take a look at the synopsis below:
“Ray forces Mickey to return to LA and brings him to Ed Cochran (Hank Azaria), who puts Mickey on parole and then holds a press conference taking full credit for finding and shooting Sully Sullivan. Kate McPherson (Vinessa Shaw), a Boston reporter, doesn’t believe the FBI’s story. Desperate to control Mickey, Ray corrupts a parole officer (Wendell Pierce) and has him take over Mickey’s case. Kate begins to investigate Sully’s death and decides to come to Los Angeles.”
If you think that this is already problematic for the Donovan family, just remember that the majority of the story is still to come.
