‘Big Brother 16’ live feed spoilers: Final eviction chatter; the week’s top player

Derrick -Before every Thursday-night eviction show for “Big Brother,” we like to try to give a final update to discuss the state of things in the house … but admittedly, that’s a little harder this week since the state of things is still so crazy.

If we had to make a bold prediction now, though, it would be that Paola would be sent home. The only way we see something otherwise happening is if so many people all throw her pity votes that she ends up getting to a 6-6 tie that Donny breaks. Jocasta and Donny both talked about voting to evict Zach this afternoon, and that makes two in her corner if they stick with it. We’re still standing behind our thought that this will be either 8-4 or 7-5 in Zach’s favor, and the fallout should be hysterical and awesome at the same time.

The Head of Household Competition is likely some sort of skill involving croquet, given that we’ve seen some practice being done with it over the past 24 hours. This is the sort of challenge that levels the playing field, since we feel like it is much more a matter of precision than it is anything strength-related. That’s good for some of the women in the house, who really need to get rid of a guy at this point so they are not outnumbered beyond control.

Sometimes, we’ll list out the top three or four players of the week, but the truth this time around is that the #1 pick is so obvious, there’s really nobody else even close to him in contention right now. He’s manipulated everyone within his alliance brilliantly, calmed Zach down, and basically is the reason he’s staying in the house thanks to talking with so many people for votes. The best thing? He’s done it without anyone taking him seriously. From the way he communicates to his under-the-radar assimilation strategy, he reminds us of a combination of Dan and Andy in one body. Both of those guys won, and that bodes well for him.

As for who the most-likely target is from here, it’s Devin. He basically has to either win the Veto or hope that one of his few friends wins Head of Household if he wants to have a chance at survival.

In case you missed it, there was a new “twist” involving trackers that was announced earlier, and you can see that here. We’ll be back later with our review of the eviction episode, and sign up now for some more TV updates via email.
