‘The Originals’ season 2: Who will join Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies at Comic-Con?

Comic-Con is routinely one of the most exciting events of the year for fans of all genres to celebrate, and when it comes to “The Originals,” that means many exciting things. This is the first panel that the cast will have attended following a full season, which means that there will be so much more excitement around it than there was last year.

Just like with the panel for “The Vampire Diaries,” this event will be taking place on Saturday, July 25, and will also feature the presence of executive producer Julie Plec. Therefore, this panel is not going to be all that different in this way from the one that we saw with the flagship series.

This is where things start to differ. Joining Plec are the series stars Joseph Morgan, Daniel GIllies, Phoebe Tonkin, Danielle Campbell, Leah Pipes, Charles Michael Davis, and fellow executive producer Michael Narducci. Obviously there is a key omission right now from this list in Claire Holt, but given that she is not technically a regular on the show right now, should this really come as that much of a shocker to anyone? We think not.

As of right now, the biggest thing that we expect from this panel is some decent scoop on the second season, especially since this cast is in a little bit of a different position than some others out there. While you have some shows that have barely started filming new seasons at the time in which they attend the show, “The Originals” actually shot some episodes in the spring before going on hiatus. This scheduling change makes them prime candidates to share a few things, at least if we’re so lucky.
