‘The Walking Dead’ season 5: Andrew Lincoln looks back, forward with Rick Grimes
Andrew Lincoln is hard at work on “The Walking Dead” season 5, and you can tell from the moment that you see him on-camera. He still has that grizzled look going with the beard, and it is certainly interesting to see him sport that when you see him smile and act like Andrew rather than Rick Grimes. It may even be unnerving to some.
This video chat below comes via GoldDerby, who make a habit every year around this time of interviewing TV stars from all across the medium for their Emmy Q&A sessions. This is a really fun interview, but that doesn’t come as much of a surprise given that the majority of the ones with Lincoln are. He says some nice things about Chandler Riggs, talks the process behind the scenes, and explains more and more of what it takes to keep this story of Rick Grimes going.
Filming for the next season of “The Walking Dead” continues throughout the summer, which is going to be especially brutal given just how hot the temperature can get up to out in the Atlanta area. As for the premiere date, expect the middle of October as it has been with the show now for so many years. There is no real reason for them to divert from the form now when the norm continues to work so well for them. Let’s just hope for a little bit more from Rick moving forward, given that there were pretty heavy stretches of season 5 where he did not even turn up.
