‘Arrow’ season 3: Who is honoring John Barrowman now?

More scoop -

There are not many opportunities that we have here at all to talk about celebrities being appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire, and that is for a number of different reasons. For one, we cannot sit here with a straight face and say that we are an expert of the British monarchy or its system of handing down achievements (at all), and nor can we say that there enough honorees in the world of TV for us to be able to familiarize ourselves.

Luckily, we are at least happy enough today to reveal that a certain star of “Arrow” has just received one of these honors, and it is none other than John Barrowman. In a post on Twitter, the man behind Malcolm Merlyn (who has appeared on “Torchwood” and also been a popular presenter for many British shows) revealed just how he feels after being handed something so impressive for all of his work:

I am very honoured and overwhelmed to receive an MBE. It’s a proud day for myself and my Family.”

Barrowman also put up a new video online, thanking the British monarchy, the fans, and many more for this tremendous honor for his entire family. Basically, this is all just another reminder of how wonderful and gracious a man that Barrowman is; he’s funny when he needs to be funny, and also incredibly grateful and sweet when those particular occasions arise.

New episodes of “Arrow” star on The CW this fall, and thanks to John being a series regular, you are going to see a whole lot more of him.
