2014 CMT Awards: Where to live stream red carpet pre-show

There are many disadvantages to it being June when it comes to the world of TV. There is not a whole lot going on, after all, unless you love music-related awards shows.

Country music fans are certainly not going to complain tonight courtesy of the 2014 CMT Music Awards, which promise to bring out some great talent to go along with awards being handed out and some other assorted shenanigans. We have never denied that there are too many country music award shows out there (mostly because there are). but you will at least get a show tonight that celebrate some of the best in the genre in a slightly-different way than the CMA Awards or the ACM Awards. For one, CMT is a network that strictly is all about country, even if they have drifted from that from time to time courtesy of a few lame reality shows.

So where can you watch the live red carpet pre-show online? The only verified source is over at the CMT website, but you need to be in the United States in order to see the video. We know it’s a bummer for Canadians (who can at least still watch it on CMT itself) and everyone around the globe, but we’d rather be honest here with you rather than divert you to a bunch of links that don’t work.

Meanwhile, the only verified way to watch the show itself is to actually have CMT at home; the network does not put out a live stream over the internet.
