‘Mistresses’ season 2, episode 1 video: Watch a pair of sneak peeks now!

For its season premiere on Monday night, “Mistresses‘ is not going to waste hardly any time at all when it comes to one thing: Creating a polarizing reaction among many fans.

The first thing that you’re going to notice when you watch these sneak peek videos below is that you’re looking at a different landscape than the one that existed at the end of season 1. Rather than try to directly pick up where the show left off, it feels like someone behind the scenes decided it would be better to work their way out of some of those corners offscreen rather than on the show itself. That is why you see a somewhat-expected resolution to a Savannah storyline from the first season.

Does this mean that the entire second season is going to suffer as a result? Not exactly. It still feels like there are a ton of interesting things that could come out of where the characters are now, but you may have to exercise a little bit of patience for the show to get from point A to point B. Sometimes, these things do take a little bit of time to sort themselves out, and when you look back at the first season of the show, it really did not start to get completely insane until a little bit later in the season. We’ll just have to wait and see what ends up happening in this case.
