‘Hell on Wheels’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Medium’ alum lands series-regular role
Remember when it was recently revealed that “Hell on Wheels” was going to feature an actor famous from another TV show, known partially for switching networks during its run? Well, we not have some answers to those clues.
Days after writer / producer John Wirth put that out there for the world to see, The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Jake Weber from “Medium” (which moved from NBC to CBS during its run) has signed on for the show to play Harlan Fell, the chief engineer on the Union Pacific Railroad. Given that he is a series regular, you better get used to the idea that he is going to be around the show for a good chunk of the 13 episodes ahead. (We don’t know if there has been enough trumpeting yet of the fact that you are getting three more episodes of the show compared to last year.)
This character further serves as evidence right now that while Cullen Bohannon may be stuck at the moment in a world that involves The Swede as well as his new wife Naomi, the show is not going to be getting that far away from what is ultimately one of its biggest selling points: The railroad, and the struggles for those who try to build it. Harlan is just another character who actually has some knowledge of how the railroad should work, and may be an asset in actually pushing the project forward in full.
“Hell on Wheels” is currently set to premiere in August, based on what was said at the Calgary Expo this past weekend. As soon as there is even more news related to the show to announce, we will have it for you here.
