‘The Originals’ spoilers: The case of the mysterious Gia

Are you read to welcome the newest face to the world of “The Originals“? There’s always excitement when it comes to a new character entering the show’s world, though the interesting part about scoops for this show right now is that they could be referring to season 1 or season 2. Usually, it’s obvious thanks to production delays, but the show is filming at least part of the second season this spring, a rare move for a network show.

According to E! News, get ready to meet soon the character of Gia. She’s edgy, “beautiful,” “soulful,” and is looking to come to New Orleans to find herself artistically. She has an interest in particular in the music scene, and wants to get away from some troubles at home.

But is Gia a vampire, a werewolf, a human, or something else entirely? That’s the mystery, and that is why she remains a somewhat-interesting character to speculate about right now. We’re personally hoping for an angle akin to her being one of those hardcore rockers who thinks that they are all about the occult and supernatural stuff, only to completely freak out when they realize that this sort of stuff is actually out there. That’s a sort of character that really has not been injected into this world just yet, and it could be interesting to explore.

“The Originals” does need new faces, though, given that the future of Claire Holt is relatively unclear, save for that she could be back in some capacity. While Klaus, Marcel, and Elijah are all certainly interesting, you need some more people to flesh this story out further.
