‘Criminal Minds’ season 9, episode 21 preview: Morgan and Savannah’s rough patch
On Wednesday night’s new “Criminal Minds,” you will see more of the same thing that you have on the show for pretty much forever: A crime, some bad guys, action, and a few things that will probably make you uncomfortable. Sometimes, the writers find a way to shake things up, but it’s inevitable that there are a few times when watching the same thing play out again and again can lead to boredom.
For Wednesday night’s new episode “What Happens in Mecklinburg…,” the sneak peek below suggests that you are going to have at least one story that offers up some much-needed contrast. Morgan and Savannah are going through the ropes in their relationship. They love each other very much, but the problem here is that unlike most TV relationships, there is conflict that comes with the job. Morgan may get to be a hero to some people, but it requires a great toll on him. He’s never around, and in this instance, he nearly missed out on the opportunity to go with her to pick up her family.
Things may seem relatively okay in the sneak peek video below, but trust us when we say that they are probably not going to stay that way the full episode. We also wouldn’t want that from the standpoint of entertainment, since you need conflict. We don’t want Morgan to be sad (he’s got a hard enough job as it is), but he does need to think about some tough questions. Maybe this episode will send him down that path.
