‘True Blood’ season 7: Where Alexander Skarsgard is in demand next (on TV)
If you have a movie, a TV show, or anything else that needs a tall Swedish guy, Alexander Skarsgard is probably going to be in demand for something. He’s Eric Northman on “True Blood,” he was the guy who took his clothes off in Antarctica on a trip with Prince Harry, and he’s soon to be Tarzan. There’s not too much that the man cannot do.
So can we put future TV comedy star on the list? It’s probably a little far to say that just yet, but an upcoming NBC series is very interested in getting him or his famous father Stellan Skarsgard to stop on by. Speaking today at the NBCUniversal upfront event (which is slightly different from the official NBC upfront next month), Amy Poehler said that there is a great interest in getting a Skarsgard on “Welcome to Sweden,” a show that has already been a success on Swedish station TV4. The show stars Amy’s brother Greg and his based on his own story as a man who moved to Sweden to be with the woman that he loves. It’s a romantic comedy that also features at least one appearance from Amy, and the Swedish network has already ordered another season.
If we were Alex, we’d jump on this in a second. It’s always a good thing to prove to people that you can be funny, and since he has taken on more action-oriented roles (or ones that force him to strip down), it could be a change of pace. In addition to all of this … how about the opportunity to actually give back to Sweden? There are few reasons we could see him not doing it, unless of course he was too busy sucking blood out of people on the HBO show’s set (even if it is its final season).

He is my favorite actor & would love to see him in a comedic roll but he has done comedy before i.e. Zoolander. Alex is such a talented actor there is nothing he can’t do well. LOVE him!

This man can pull off any role, be it Drama, Horror, Action, or Comedy! I’m sure he’ll nail it and I’ll be one of the first to watch!

He was pretty funny on the season finale of Eastbound and Down, so I could definitely see it and, most importantly, would want to see it!

I would watch if he was on the show, in any capacity.
