‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: The finale’s title to leave you guessing
Here you have it, “Arrow” fans: The end is nigh. Cue the dramatic music, and the fears that some of your favorite characters will be killed off. As production gets going on the season 2 finale, we’ll start off our reporting here with the episode’s title: “Unthinkable.”
This title comes to us courtesy of GreenArrowTV, and the story for this one comes from Greg Berlanti while the teleplay is from showrunners Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg. John Behring, who did the recent (underwhelming) “Birds of Prey” but also our favorite episode of the series in “Three Ghosts,” is directing this one.
So what is it that the show wants us to not think about? Let’s go ahead and violate that rule and think about it for a minute.
1. Maybe the Arrow becomes more of a killer / vigilante again, going against his established superhero credo. Then again, he’s already broken that since the death of Tommy. There’s not really and surprise here with that.
2. Someone like Diggle dies, but we feel like that would be very much “thinkable” since he’s been at the top of our self-created Death Watch for quite a long time.
3. Someone like Laurel days, and we don’t care despite how badly the show (and probably the comment section of a few articles) wants us to.
4. “Unthinkable” ends up becoming a secret to “Unbreakable,” and this entire series has secretly been M. Night Shyamalan playing us the entire time.
“Arrow” will be back next week with “The Man Behind the Hood” (which you can watch a promo for at this link). That title was at least much more descriptive about what the story will most-likely be about. As for news that is certifiably awesome and requires no debate or speculation, John Barrowman is going to return as Malcolm Merlyn. Wow. The Laurel hate was pretty uncalled for in this article…
