‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ preview: NeNe Leakes, Cynthia Bailey fight after Mexico

While the ratings for this season on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” are through the roof, we still feel like the actual story of the episodes right now leaves a lot to be desired. Not only do you have Gregg Leakes finally starting to go back at Peter Thomas a good four or so episodes too late, but it is just fighting and fighting topped with more fighting.

Maybe we view all fights differently now with this show given what we know happened with the pajama party earlier this season and the upcoming reunion show, which taped earlier this week. It’s just that for some reason, we simply find them more uncomfortable now than we ever have before.

Sunday night’s episode will further get us to that reunion, and also show more of the deterioration of the friendship between NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey. You can get a sense of some of the problems in the video below, and we also have the following synopsis from Bravo themselves:

“Peter, Gregg, and NeNe’s explosive confrontation in Mexico continues to escalate, leaving the entire group in shock and dismay. Kenya meets with Marlo to dish the dirt post-Mexico. Kandi begins to wonder if casting Porsha in the musical was the best decision after all.”

We can answer that question for Kandi right now: It was a terrible idea. Anytime that you get any other Housewife involved in one of the ventures, you are setting yourself up for some sort of failure and disappointment. They are often obsessed with camera time, or just lack the necessarily skills and practice needed in order to be truly entertaining. The one winner in Porsha joining the musical? All the viewers at home interested in watching a possible trainwreck.
