‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: Will ‘Deathstroke’ mark the end of Slade Wilson?

Arrow -Just how much more can Slade Wilson really destroy the life of one Oliver Queen? Going into next week’s new episode of “Arrow” entitled “Deathstroke,” we feel like that is very much a worthy question to ask.

So far, what we have seen from Slade is that he is a man capable of doing evil things, but at some point, you would assume that there would be a breaking point. We may have seen that courtesy of what happened with him kidnapping Thea … or at least so you would think. Somehow, someway, it is looking more and more like it is going to get much worse for Oliver before all of this starts to wind down. The recent comments that executive producer Marc Guggenheim made to TVLine on the subject seem to be perfect proof of that:

“The way that it unfolds is very unexpected … This whole season has, basically, been about Oliver versus Slade, with a lot of other elements orbiting it. So I don’t think it will be a surprise to say that the conclusion of their story won’t happen until the final episode of the season.”

If that is the case, then “Deathstroke” is clearly not the end of the fight and there are many more terrible things that lie ahead. For Thea and for the rest of the Queen family, this has to be bad news. While there is not any guarantee at all that someone is going to die at the end of this season, we have a hard time believing that Oliver’s entire family and friends are going to get through this journey somehow unscathed.

One other tiny tease from Guggenheim? That the journey of the Huntress is not over yet, and he already has an idea for a season 3 episode provided that Jessica de Gouw is available.
