‘Arrow’ season 2, episode 17 preview: Can you really trick the Huntress?

Tonight’s “Arrow” episode “Birds of Prey” is going to be a big one for so many reasons. This is the first time that you’re going to get to see Jessica de Gouw as the Huntress in a pretty darn long time, thanks mostly to her alternate gig out there on NBC’s “Dracula.” It also has a chance to show both her and Black Canary, which is why the episode happens to be titled what it is.

In the sneak peek below, though, mostly what you really get to see is that the woman otherwise known as Helena really knows what she is doing the majority of the time, and isn’t going to mess around when it comes to the police. She always has a backup plan, and that makes her both far more threatening and dangerous to everyone else in Starling City.

The only problem with her appearance now? It’s mostly that it seems like a complete detour from everything else that is going on. The priority for Oliver Queen as of late has mostly been Deathstroke and Sebastian Blood, and while he may think that one of these problems is out of the way, the guy still has to deal with the other. It’s to be seen if this episode is mostly standalone, or some of these people are actually going to tie together well into the overall story.
