‘Big Brother Canada 2’ review: What is Adel’s Buzzworthy power really?
The truth is finally in about what Adel can finally use his #Buzzworthy power for on “Big Brother Canada 2,” and it is not exactly something that is a surprise at all. Why? It’s because this is the same exact thing that he told so many of the players on the live feed.
Basically, the “power” is really pretty tame in that it gives him the ability to be able to place himself into a Veto Competition at any given point this season, which is important in that it allows him to ensure that he has a chance to help out either his game or someone else’s. However, it is not so big that he can replace anyone on the block … which (for the live feeders) is something that he has said to both Jon and Arlie.
Now that we have all the information, we’re starting to think that Adel is playing this all wrong. He’s going to burn both of these guys when they realize that his power is something that is different than what he said … which is probably why he claims that there is a two-week limit on it, since that enables him to pretend like the power expires and cannot be used to help himself at some point. We probably would have just kept things simple and said what it was, given that it is really no so enormous a deal that it will make him a target on its own. The real point of contention in the house, as proven further in this episode, is whether or not there is going to be a battle between the men and the women.
From a critical perspective, the strange part about this entire story to us was mostly the decision that was made to edit things out of order, such as the Buzzworthy task taking place in part before the Veto Competition (which was obviously off, since you just had to look at Arlie’s hair for that). Also, the show is being much too nice on Sabrina when it comes to the awful things that she is saying about some of the other players … but then again, this show (which has no problem showing Arlie’s butt) seems desperate to steer clear of nastiness. Grade: B.
