‘Person of Interest’ season 3, episode 18 preview: Taking it to the UN?
Tuesday night’s “Person of Interest” episode was somewhat emotive, and also something that really could force the characters to take a hard at themselves and how they work with one another. It was also a great showcase of Amy Acker as Root, and she has to feel pretty darn good right now about her choice to become a series regular.
For next week, the show is not really giving us anywhere near as much in the way of big teasers about what is coming up next. Instead, what we have below are some clues at a story that feels on the surface like it could be more isolated. Whether or not that is true is to be seen, but we just have to go based on the impression that we have right now.
This episode, titled “Allegiance,” at least has a name that fills up the page a little bit more than Tuesday’s “/.” You can also see the synopsis for it below:
“Finch and Reese must delve into the murky waters of international politics when they are given the number of a former government contractor who is stalking a UN diplomat. Also, an enemy attempts to gain an upper hand on Root.”
As someone very fascinated with the world of the UN, we are interested in seeing just how deep that story goes in here and how much they really show and teach about it at the same time. Typically when you see the UN mentioned on TV, it’s mostly just a monolithic organization, and little effort is actually made to explain its function. Instead, we have lots of gunfire and explosions.
