‘Big Brother Canada 2’ live feed spoilers: The Buzzworthy winner and controversy
“Big Brother Canada 2” created what we personally felt was a pretty fun twist in the house yesterday, where Canada voted on who was the most #Buzzworthy contestant of the season so far. That houseguest had the option of being able to receive some news from the outside world, and also a power that they can use for whatever they like in the game.
If we were a player, we probably would have phoned in a video telling Canada not to vote for us, since there is little value long-term to winning this. People become jealous when they realize that someone else is liked by the Canadian public more so than themselves, and they also tend to get really bitter about it. It makes you into an instant target.
So to hear the news that Adel won it as voted by Canadians? First of all, we’re not surprised. He and Heather received the bulk of the support online, and with the massive love that most viewers had for Kyle, they probably had no problem at all trying to help his best friend in the game. Here is the problem with this, though: Adel was starting to work himself back into the game without being a target. Now, there is talk about nominating him next week just so that his power can be flushed out.
With that, we have to question the mechanism of Adel telling everyone that he has a power, and not saying what it is. Bad move all around. You don’t want to look like you have power in this game! If he was allowed to not say that he was the winner, we would’ve done that. The only reason that we wonder about if he was allowed to do that was because the other gift from the outside world he received were results from the Olympics and other sporting events, which he was able to share with the house. (They were in sequester at the time that the games were finishing up.)
This seems to be a tradition this season for whatever reason: Right when someone starts to get in good with Canada, their stock plummets immediately. After so many people supported Adel yesterday, he goes ahead and ruins it all today by using a homophobic slur in a conversation with Ika. (You can see the video here, but you may be offended by it.) Did this guy not read about what happened to Aaryn? Way to completely squander any support that you had, even if you have been at times persecuted and attacked in the house.
