‘True Blood’ season 7 spoilers: Carrie Preston talks Arlene’s new romance
Are you ready for Arlene on “True Blood” to potentially find love again? After what happened to Terry and how tragic that was, we know that there is many a contingent hoping that some good things come her way soon … and maybe they will.
Speaking to E! News, Carrie Preston opened up for the first time about the casting of Riley Smith as a “rock n’ roll” vampire who could end up being her character’s love interest this season … and based on the way in which she is speaking about the part, it doesn’t seem as though he will be turning up around her in the early episodes airing on HBO this summer:
“I haven’t met Riley Smith yet, but he is certainly very talented and I’m really looking forward to working with him and seeing what the writers do with that storyline … We do know that Arlene has not been the most open-minded person throughout the series, so I myself am curious to see how open she lets her mind go.”
Given that this character is hardly the same sort of guy that Arlene goes for, you have to think that her mind has been opened up somewhat … and we’d really love to blame most of her friends for that. After all, Sookie Stackhouse has been romancing vampires and werewolves for years, and her brother Jason has also gotten into it with Jessica. Meanwhile, her workplace of Merlotte’s has been stuffed full of various supernatural creatures over the years, whether you are thinking about shapeshifters, witches, or something else entirely.
We do know that there will be at least one other new romance that does end up gracing “True Blood” season 7 this summer, and we will hopefully have a little bit more news on that soon.
