‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3 spoilers: Will JoAnna Garcia’s Ariel be in ‘The New Neverland’?
Even though all of the characters on “Once Upon a Time” have now managed to make it back to the town of Storybrooke, there is a problem that goes along with it: The drama is not over yet. While they may not know it just yet, Peter Pan has found a way to infiltrate their home, and is even doing so in the form of someone who they would never expect to even be remotely evil: Henry.
Is he going to succeed in his quest and who from the Storybrooke community is going to be present to watch all of this go down? Well, we luckily have answers to both courtesy of the press release for “The New Neverland.” First of all, we are pleased to report that JoAnna Garcia Swisher will be back as Ariel, and you will also see some of her beloved Prince Eric in here, as well. These two will be joined by most of the other familiar faces, with the exception of Archie, Dr. Whale, and Red, who continues to be missing in action. You will see Granny, all of the dwarves, and also Mother Superior / The Blue Fairy, which is good news for Tinker Bell.
Now, let’s share the full synopsis courtesy of ABC that gives you a sense of some of what the other stories are away from the attempts to try and stop Peter Pan in his new form:
“The residents of Storybrooke are overjoyed upon the return of Henry and our heroes from Neverland. But unbeknownst to them, a plan is secretly being put into place by a well-hidden Pan that will shake up the very lives of the townspeople. Meanwhile, in the Fairy Tale Land that was, Snow White and Prince Charming’s honeymoon turns out to be anything but romantic when they go in search of a mythical being that could stop Regina cold in her tracks.”
Personally, we’d love for that mythical being to be Ursula, since it would make for a great opportunity to use Yvette Nicole Brown again. But who knows, given that there have been so few references to her since her first appearance.
