‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3: ‘Covert Affairs’ star Christopher Gorham books mysterious role
Do you love both “Once Upon a Time” in addition to “Covert Affairs”? If you find yourself answering “yes” to both of these questions, then you’re probably going to love the story coming out today.
Christopher Gorham, who you probably best know either for his role as Auggie on the USA drama or his parts on either “Ugly Betty” or “Harper’s Island,” is officially on board the third season of the fairy-tale show. The news was confirmed by Entertainment Weekly today, but the only additional teaser that you have to go on for now is that the character is going to be very important in the life of a certain Emma Swan.
This is hardly the first time that the ABC series has been this coy in regards to casting. When Michael Raymond-James was first last year, producers would not say the role that he was playing. Meanwhile, they also initially claimed that Robbie Kay was going to be playing a “lost boy,” only for him to be revealed later to be Peter Pan. Let’s just hope that this is a casting that can actually stay a secret until the show airs, since sometimes, it’s a little bit nicer to be surprised than to have the occasionally-evil creature known as the internet take the fun out of it.
“Once Upon a Time” is seemingly going to be out of Neverland this fall, judging from the fact that “Going Home” is the title of an upcoming episode, and some of the Storybrooke residents, including Belle, still have major roles to play on the show. (Plus, we’re going to see JoAnna Garcia’s character of Ariel at least one more time.)
Gorham’s appearance will come in the 12th episode of the season, which is the first following the hiatus; while his part could be small at first, there is a possibility that he could return down the road. Given that he already has a full-time job, though, you cannot really say that there is any of hope of this gig being permanent anytime soon.

I don’t mind as long as he doesn’t push “Hook and Emma” away
