Does Charlie Sheen want to work with Chuck Lorre, ‘Two and a Half Men’ again?

It begins -Is hell about to freeze over? If nothing else, we at least know that Charlie Sheen is looking to make amends with his former employer in Chuck Lorre, years after the two took a bitter feud public over “Two and a Half Men” that led to Sheen being fired from the show, and Ashton Kutcher eventually placing him on a revamped version that premiered in the fall. It was one of the biggest PR disasters out there for CBS, and Sheen picked up the pieces and then used his platform to launch “Anger Management.”

However, we’re not sure that all of this worked out for Charlie in the way in which he was hoping to beforehand. “Anger Management” has become somewhat of a flop for FX despite getting the huge 90-episode order, and Charlie is not really in the headlines much these days save for a custody battle with his ex-wife Brooke Mueller that could have him jailed over a judge’s warning to keep certain parts of the case private. It’s all of this that makes Charlie’s sudden message to “Two and a Half Men” guru Chuck Lorre on Twitter all the more surprising:

“hey Chuck. I have an idea that u need to hear after I make amends to you and yours. which I will do in person. xox c”

Do we imagine that there is going to be anything great that comes out of this? Not really. As a matter of fact, if we were Lorre, we are not sure we would answer a phone call coming to us from Sheen. You’ve proven already that you can have four separate shows on the air at the same time without him, including one in “The Big Bang Theory” that is television’s top comedy. There is really no need to bring him back, unless you are looking for some sort of stunt to boost ratings. Then again, all of this is assuming that Sheen is interested in doing something with Lorre related to television in the first place.
