‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 7 spoilers: Thanksgiving, and a ghost from Penny’s past
Who is ready for a “Big Bang Theory” Thanksgiving? Since the show is of course not airing an all-new episode on the night of Turkey Day, knowing that it would not get much of any real viewers at all, their celebration is going to come a week early.
Luckily, it feels like the show will be going all-out with the crazy in order to help have this Thanksgiving tide you over until the real one arrives. For one, it’s an opportunity to really use Howard’s mother again (which is rare these days, given the new living arrangements for the character), and it is also a chance to bring back Casey Sander as Bernadette’s cop father.
The official synopsis below more or less serves as a nice outline to the events transpiring, though it of course does not give away too much at all in the process:
“Sheldon protests when the gang drags him to Mrs. Wolowitz’s house for Thanksgiving. Meanwhile, Penny and Leonard must deal with a mistake from her past.”
While we don’t want to give away too much right now about who or what this “mistake” is, let’s just say that it at least involved a character that was pretty beloved in the short time in which they were around on the show. It’s going to be an appealing surprise, just as the rest of this episode is hopefully going to be appealing. Holiday episodes are traditionally pretty fun. You don’t want to end them in a depressing way, and the real goal here should be to make something so great that it eventually becomes part of other people’s holiday traditions to watch them every year. This one will have a tough task trying to top some of the best “Friends” Thanksgivings and also the “WKRP in Cincinnati” turkey spectacular in our book.
