‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3 spoilers: Who will meet JoAnna Garcia’s Ariel in Storybrooke?

While Sunday night’s “Once Upon a Time” season 3 episode may be titled “Dark Hollow,” it almost seems just as appropriate for the episode to be titled “return to Storybrooke.” For the first time since the end of last season, we are going to heading back to the town that really started it all for a story that will allow us to see the worlds of Neverland and others merged together … and it is all thanks to Ariel.

But who is JoAnna Garcia going to potentially spend some time with? When it comes to familiar faces Lee Arenberg will be back as Grumpy, as will Raphael Sbarge as Archie and Beverley Elliott as Granny. Of course Emilie de Ravin will be around as Belle, but you probably assumed as much given that she is a series regular. There is no mention of a return appearance from Meghan Ory as Red, and while we imagine that it is going to happen eventually, it may not be until later this season thanks to a combination of appendicitis (which she suffered from recently) and her work on CBS’ new show “Intelligence.”

When it comes to the story for the episode, ABC just released the following synopsis:

“Mr. Gold and Regina send Ariel back to Storybrooke with an item that will allow Belle to locate a hidden artifact that could help take down Pan. But unbeknownst to them, two men have broken into the town with the intent to stop them – at all costs. Meanwhile, Emma, Neal and Hook attempt to find Dark Hollow, where Peter Pan’s shadow dwells, in order to capture it, and Mary Margaret is upset with David for keeping his poisoning a secret from her.”

So first of all, how long do we want to bet that there is really some sort of long-lasting anger over what happened between David and Mary Margaret? We have not known Snow to be someone who holds a grudge for a considerably long amount of time. What we want to know most is what happens next with the love triangle that is now Hook / Emma / Neal, and the promo says nothing about that.
