CarterMatt on ‘Dispatch Radio’: Talking ‘Revolution,’ ‘Walking Dead,’ ‘Boardwalk Empire,’ more

The latest -On Saturday, September 28, the opportunity was presented for us to chat with Brandon Jones from “Dispatch Radio” as a part of their weekly radio show. It was a thoroughly enjoyable 15-minute interview to do as a viewer and writer of all things television, and in addition to sharing some scoop , we share some explanations into the mindset of your favorite networks. Why do they make some of the decisions that they do? We address it in the video below. (Of course, remember that this was conducted Saturday, so there was no time machine around in order to see the “Breaking Bad” finale in advance.)

Some of the questions addressed in the interview include:

Revolution – Was NBC happy with the numbers during the premiere, and is there any hope for the show’s success in the future?

“Boardwalk Empire” – HBO recently renewed the show for a fifth season, but why did they make the announcement so early into season 4 airing?

“Dexter” – What were some of the problems with the recent series finale?

Reality TV – What are some of the major players in the genre right now, and why is there such a struggle for networks to find the next big sensation?

“The Walking Dead” – What are some of the events coming up on the AMC hit this season? Also, is there a reason to be nervous with yet another showrunner in tow? (Also in this interview, we explain our policy of not saying too much about spoilers, and consequently our fear that AMC will chase after us like a hungry zombie horde if we do.)

Thanks again to “Dispatch Radio” for having us, and be sure to listen to the fall TV interview below. Also, keep checking back to CarterMatt.com for the latest TV scoop, news, reviews, and more this October.
