ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 3 spoilers: Jack Coleman joins Lisa Kudrow, others with guest spot

More scoop -Scandal” has now cast its latest guest star, and they already have one thing in common with many of the others: We really don’t know very much about the role save for maybe a name.

The latest information here comes in from Deadline, and it revolves around a man in Jack Coleman best known for his role on “Heroes.” However, he is fresh off of memorable spots on “Burn Notice” and “Castle,” and we don’t think anyone is better at playing shady / evil guys that he is. What we can at least say about him is that his name is Daniel Douglas, and that he will have some sort of tie to one of the characters that we have come to know very well already on Olivia Pope’s team of Gladiators. We almost expect him to be yet another shady / evil guy, so it would be a pretty nice little breath of fresh air if he plays someone different for a change.

Some of the other recent guest-star announcements include “Army Wives” veteran Sally Prestman, and also the surprising news from earlier this year about Lisa Kudrow also signing on for a multi-episode arc. What makes “Scandal” so mysterious at the moment is that the show does not want to reveal too much about the story right now, mostly because they don’t want to run the risk of anyone guessing the story of the season before the premiere. It is after that episode airs on October 3 that some more details will probably start to come out.

Do you like this casting, and are you pleased that so many great shows these days are using Coleman’s unique set of skills? (Any time that we can use a Liam Neeson quote, we will!) Be sure to share below! Meanwhile, click here for some more official details from the premiere.
