‘The Good Wife’ season 5 spoilers: Stockard Channing to return
Do you feel like you wanted more of Alicia’s mom on “The Good Wife” season 5? Well, you’re in luck. CBS has confirmed that Stockard Channing will be back for at least one episode of the critically-acclaimed drama series this fall. This is welcome news, given that she and Alicia are just about as polar opposites as a mother and a daughter could be.
As for what brings her back, we’re very curious about that at the moment given just how much Alicia already has on her plate. Not only is she going to be trying to deal with helping to start a new firm with Cary, but she also has Peter to deal with, and now with him in a much greater position of power. Taking on this character is so much work that she doesn’t even need a full-time job to feel overwhelmed.
Channing joins an impressive guest list that will include the return of Carrie Preston along with Ben Rappaport, Jason O’Mara following his time on “Vegas,” and even another episode from “Fringe” alum John Noble, who now has another show that he has been snubbed from in Emmy nominations. Given that this show is always a who’s who of big-name TV actors, we are confident that even more names will be added to this list in the weeks and months ahead.
